Limestone County is one of the early counties in the State of Alabama to offer this online service.  It's a convenient way to keep from standing in line at the courthouse annex and renew your tag at your home or business. 

The methods of payment include MasterCard, Visa, or an electronic check from your checking account.  Your fee per tag or boat renewal for an electronic check is $3.50 for the first item and $2.50 for each additional item. Credit and debit transactions will be charged a 3% convenience fee with a minimum of $3.50 and $2.50 for each additional tag or boat renewal. The convenience fee is not paid to Limestone County but to IMS Enterprises, Inc., an Alabama company.

Upon completion of your renewal, you will receive a confirmation number and a printed receipt. Please record the confirmation number, print and retain the receipt until you receive your actual license plate or your annual 2013 decal. 

Payment by credit card usually occurs within three business days, while electronic checks usually occur within five to seven days.
